Central Branch, Howard County Library System

Founded in 1981, Central Library is located in Columbia, Md. The library maintains a collection of books, encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers and databases. It provides fiction and nonfiction books on a variety of subjects, such as mystery, science, romance, travel and cosmology. Its range of multimedia collection includes CDs, DVDs, cassettes and videotapes. The library also operates children s and adults department. It provides more than 75 computers with Internet access to its members. Central Library is a part of Howard County Library. It organizes various events for children and adults that include reading programs, writing workshops, and poetry and spelling contests. Howard County Library s services include renewals and interlibrary loans.
