Centennial High School offers a variety of educational and enrichment programs to students in grades nine through 12. The school offers classes in various subjects, including business and computer management systems, career research development, English, family and consumer sciences, fine arts, mathematics, physical education, science, social studies, technology education and music. It also offers various special education programs for students with special needs, such as speech pathology, psychologists and counseling. The school organizes various extracurricular activities and sports programs, including basketball, wrestling and cheerleading. It also serves a variety of food items in its cafeteria. Located in Ellicott City, Md., Centennial High School enrolls more than 1,500 students and is part of the Howard County Public School District.

Waterloo Elementary School

Waterloo Elementary School is a part of Howard County Public School System, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Waterloo Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. Its staff includes classroom and resource teachers, specialists, counselors, therapists, and cafeteria and custodial personnel. The school supports a variety of extracurricular programs in art, music, chorus, band, strings, media studies, technology integration, and health and physical education. In addition, Waterloo Elementary School offers the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. It provides medical care; physical, occupational and speech therapies; and guidance and counseling services to students. Located in Columbia, Md., Waterloo Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that provides an opportunity for discussion of mutual concerns of parents and teachers and fosters communication with the school and community.
