Robbie was a master cabinetmaker who started building custom tables for local clients out of a small shop in Leitersburg Maryland. In the 1960's Robbie started selling Brunswick Pool Tables out of a 500 square foot showroom next to his wood shop. As a small dealer, Robbies Billiards Sales & Service as it was known then, specialized in economically priced pool tables and Made in the USA Pool cues from companies like McDermott and Viking. Durring the Billiards Boom of the 1980's, Robbies Billiards pretty much stayed the course with a focus on value priced product, service work, and the occasional "Robbies Custom" pool table. In the late 80's after over 30 years in the business Robbie retired and sold out to his long time employee and lead installer Dennis Strock. In 1994 Denny turned the business over to his old high school friend and billiard enthusiast Al McGarity. Denny Stayed on for almost 10 years as the lead installation technician and helped train the current crop of Robbies Certified Employees. The McGarity Family still ownes and operates Robbies Billiards & Game Room Outfitters and the new www.robbiesbilliards.com.
