Alexander Daniel is a general dentist and director of the General Practice Residency Program, in which he oversees the education and clinical training of dental residents. Dr. Daniel provides a comprehensive range of restorative, reconstructive and preventive dental services, with a clinical focus on patients with complex medical needs. His areas of expertise include the management of patients undergoing oral bisphosphonate therapy, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation or cardiac valve replacement, as well as those with chronic conditions such as diabetes or substance use disorders. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Goucher College and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland. Following dental school, Dr. Daniel completed a one-year general dentistry residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

She has co-authored four book chapters, published more than 15 journal articles and delivered invited lectures around the world.
