In 1969, Ray and Bea Gagner founded Weathervane Seafood Company, which owns and operates the restaurant chain of Weathervane Seafood Restaurant. The first restaurant was opened in Kittery, Maine, and established a tradition of serving generous portions of fresh quality seafood at a reasonable price. Weathervane is a full-service restaurant that provides customers with a menu that includes crab cakes, pasta, soups, salads, Maine lobsters, a variety of shrimp, fried haddock, scallops, chicken tenders, swordfish, steak and grilled chicken. The restaurant also offers its food available for purchase online. Online products also include clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, lobster and gift certificates.
