Dr. Steven P. Lary is Maine native who received a Bachelor of Arts from Colby College in 1978 and a Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry (NEWENCO) in 1982. His residencies were at the Dorchester Eye Clinic, the Joslin Diabetic Center, and the NEWENCO Pediatric Clinic all located in Boston, Massachusetts. From 1982 to1993 he practiced with an eye surgeon in Lewiston, Maine and lectured extensively on eye disease management for the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. From 1993 to present Dr. Lary has been in private practice in Camden, Maine where he lives with his family. In 2001, Dr. Lary received his advanced therapeutic glaucoma license from the Maine Board of Optometry, which is the highest level optometric license available. He is a member of the Maine Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association, a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and, in 2012, certifed by the American Board of Optometry.
