Smithereen Farm is an organic farm all the way Downeast in Pembroke, Maine. We offer camping from May to October, at two sites on Leighton Point: Home Farm and Blueberry Land. The Home Farm tent platforms are tucked into the treeline at the western edge of the farm, with views to the beautiful Cobscook Bay. They are removed from the action, though the home farm has dogs, children, visitors, worker bees, and all sorts of activity. Dogs are not allowed to camp at the Home Farm site. If you prefer solitude in the forest, we recommend the Blueberry Land site, just two miles from the Home Farm. Dogs are allowed to camp at Blueberry Land. Both sites offer composting toilets, potable water, tent platforms, outdoor showers, stone campfire pits with cooking grills, and bins for trash, compost, and recycling. Both sites offer easy access to Downeast beaches and shores, and the area is full of trails and opportunities for nature exploration. During the busy and bustling summer months, we host events and workshops with our sister organization, Greenhorns. We're tending to our fields of food, harvesting kelp and wild herbs, processing and cooking local food, and every week we sell fresh organic produce at the Lubec Farmers Market. Our staffed Farm Store in Pembroke offers provisions and information.
