DriveInMovie.com is a dedicated resource established in 1998, aimed at celebrating, promoting, and preserving drive-in movie theaters worldwide. With a comprehensive database of operating and recently closed drive-ins, the platform strives to maintain up-to-date information through various research methods and contributions from the drive-in community.
Operated by enthusiastic drive-in enthusiasts, DriveInMovie.com seeks to enhance the popularity of drive-ins as a unique family-friendly entertainment option, especially in light of the significant decline from over 4,000 theaters in the 1950s to around 330 today in the United States. The organization emphasizes the importance of supporting these culturally significant venues to ensure they continue to thrive.
