Seal Cove Farm, located in Ellsworth, Maine, has been handcrafting award-winning goat cheese in small batches since 1976. Owner Barbara Brooks, trained in the traditional methods of French cheese making, utilizes fresh milk from her herd of contented dairy goats to create a variety of cheeses, including fresh and aged chevres and feta.
In addition to its renowned cheeses, Seal Cove Farm previously offered wood-fired pizza featuring farm-fresh ingredients, although the pizza oven and farmstand will not be opening this season. The farm also provides Nanny Berries compost and has its products available at gourmet shops and restaurants throughout New England.
