Owner/designer began with a background in sailmaking,interior design and costuming. Originally established just 2 doors down from the current location on this quaint cobblestone street .

Portmanteau is an artisan bag maker. All items are made right here on Wharf Street. Bags, jackets ,capes and cloaks are crafted in fine materials and priced direct from sewing machine to customer.
