Located in Portland, Maine, they are dedicated to preserving and evolving the art form of contra dancing, welcoming new dancers every week and creating a zesty and delightful experience for all.
Currently on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Portland Intown Contra Dance is closely monitoring health guidelines and regulations to ensure the safety of their dancers. Once it is deemed safe, they will resume their lively gatherings, teaching and practicing traditions, and fostering a sense of connection and camaraderie both on and off the dance floor.
