This "store" was amazing. Part museum, part shop and 100% creative. I've never been in another bookstore like this. This was obviously an act of love and an amazing way to teach kids and adults...

This property is temporary closed Come explore nature, science and the 13.8-billion-year history of the universe in a mind-blowing three-floor, interactive, award-winning space that combines intelligence, creativity, fun and shopping. The Naturalist's Notebook in Seal Harbor (which has been named a Best of New England and Best of Maine destination) and the smaller Notebook Annex in Northeast Harbor (pretty cool itself) are open from July until mid-October, 10-5. Each is a unique, big-picture educational art installation in which kids, adults, families—everybody—can shop and think and learn in a one-of-a-kind experience.
