Middle School of the Kennebunks

Wells Elementary School offers classes from grades kindergarten through four. The school s curriculum includes art, music, physical and health education, mathematics, special education, computer, reading and writing. It enrolls more than 400 students and provides an academic program to address different styles of learning and promotes concepts of good citizenship and mutual respect. Wells Elementary School also supports two-way communication between home and school. It additionally offers meal services to students. Biddeford Primary School offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through two. The school has been divided into four academic villages. These smaller communities have a schedule of their own and offer students a personal, small-school experience. The curriculum is child-centered and in addition to the core curriculum, students have access to special education and support services. Biddeford Primary School also has a student assistance team made up of teachers, the assistant principal and support personnel. The team brainstorms and implements interventions for students experiencing difficulties in school. The student's progress is monitored, and occasionally the team refers a student to a pupil evaluation team for further evaluation if the interventions do not produce sufficient progress.
