Welcome to McLaughlin Garden and Homestead in South Paris, Maine, a cherished historic site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For over 25 years, the McLaughlin Foundation has lovingly preserved Bernard McLaughlin’s 1840s farmstead, gardens, and green space.

With one of the largest lilac collections in New England, the garden captivates visitors in May with a riot of colors and scents. Beyond lilacs, the garden boasts diverse collections of hostas, daylilies, astilbes, iris, and more, creating a haven for birds and pollinators.

Throughout the season, the garden hosts various events like Garden Illuminated and The Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular, offering engaging programs for all ages.
