Maine Veterans' Homes, founded in 1983 and based in Augusta, Maine, is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of amenities, programs and long-term care services for veterans of United States armed forces. The organization has various nursing units, rehabilitation and long-term care units, and a 40-bed care unit for residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. It provides a wide range of medical services, including respite care, rehabilitation services, and physical, respiratory, occupational, speech and language therapies. Maine Veterans' Homes offers various amenities for residents, such as dining and living rooms, a multipurpose room, therapy gymnasiums, beauty and barbershop, fully equipped kitchens and wheelchair-accessible vans.

This place has wonderful veterans, however the staff is a complete different story. It's run by a bunch of staff that act like they are in high school. Cliques and not taking appropriate care of...

They sell themselves well, but its pretty hollow. Vets sit in wheelcahirs as nurses walk by, saying things like "I couldn't find him" or "I'm getting out of here." It can set people back....
