Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation (MASR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the largest year-round adaptive recreation program in Maine, dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through sports and outdoor activities since 1982. Each year, MASR provides education and training that enables participants to develop skills, gain independence, and enjoy active recreation, supported by over 400 dedicated volunteers who deliver more than 2,500 lessons to children, adults, and veterans.
Offering a wide range of programs including alpine skiing, paddling, and mountain biking, MASR fosters camaraderie and adventure among its participants. Their inclusive approach not only promotes physical fitness but also encourages personal growth and social connections, making a significant impact on the lives of those they serve.
