This was such a cool park to explore. Gorgeous trail along the water and we saw a pair of bald eagles! The pet cemetery was really sweet and such a fun surprise towards the end.

If you are planning to go to Mackworth Island, definitely have a backup plan because getting a parking spot in the summer is like winning the lottery. Yes, it is a dog friendly, family friendly...

This is such a hidden gem located right outside of downtown Portland. I'm so glad that our our air bnb host recommended checking it out. It took us about 30/45 minutes to walk the entire perimeter...
