The Langlais Sculpture Preserve is a 90-acre nature preserve located in Cushing, Maine, featuring a 10-acre art environment at its core. The preserve showcases over a dozen large-scale wooden sculptures created by Maine-born artist Bernard Langlais and his wife, Helen Friend Langlais, during the years 1966 to 1977.
Visitors can explore a 0.14-mile ADA-accessible path that winds through the art environment, along with a 0.12-mile trail that leads into the surrounding woodlands. The preserve is the result of a unique partnership between Colby College, Kohler Foundation Inc., and Georges River Land Trust, and offers an engaging experience centered on the dynamic forces shaping a forest.
