Kirsten Milliken, PhD

History

I have worked as a clinical psychologist since 1997. In that time I have tried (really hard) to work in various agencies, including school systems, community mental health, geriatric settings.... I prefer working for my favorite boss (me) and in 2011 committed to focusing full time on my private practice. Throughout my career, I have always been drawn to working with people with ADHD and other learning differences. Although there are providers who work with these individuals, few ADHD coaches are available in Maine, much less across the country. This is the modality that seems to be most effective in helping ADDers in moving forward. I enjoy being able to provide services from the identification and diagnosis of learning challenges to supporting my clients to achieve their amazing potential.

Hello! My name is Dr. Kirsten Milliken. and my passions is partnering with individuals who have ADHD or other learning and processing differences to help them realize their potential. As a coach I work with individuals who face challenges such as procrastinating, being late, struggling to start or finish projects, and tending to be great in short bursts but struggling to sustain effort and interest. As your coach I support you clarify your goals, help you to redefine your potential, and offer support, skills, and insight to help you achieve ultimate success in work, personal, and academic areas. I also offer Psychological evaluations/testing. These can assist with diagnosis, treatment recommendations, identifying learning styles, and helping clients to gain more substantial personal insight.
