Hermit Island Campground, located on Casco Bay in Phippsburg, Maine, is a beloved family-oriented seasonal campground offering rustic sites for tents and pop-up trailers. Established in 1952, this slow-paced and rustic campground remains largely unchanged, providing a unique camping experience in tune with the natural environment.
With 271 sites spread across the southern end of the island, each site offers a fire pit, picnic table, parking space for one car, and room for camping equipment. The campground provides free hot showers and various types of bathrooms throughout the area. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful Head Beach and take advantage of facilities such as the Kelp Shed, Snack Bar, Gift Shop, and Yankee Dock and Marina Dock for launching and keeping small boats.
