History

Let's face it, we all experience a bit of cabin fever in the dead of winter, and the arts offer a great alternative to winter sports to beat the winter blahs! Freeport Players founded Freeport FebFest in 2015 in partnership with other artists, cultural organizations and presenters. In its first year, with support from the Davis Family Foundation, FebFest offered dozens of events at venues around town, getting people out of the house to be entertained by musicians, actors, writers, singers, painters and more. From that solid start, FebFest will keep growing to involve more people in more varied activity every year.
