Fish River Rural Health

Maine Veterans' Homes, also known as MVH, is a private, nonprofit organization that offers a range of health care services. Established in 1977, the organization provides a variety of long-term care and rehabilitative services. It operates more than five medical facilities that feature over 630 beds. The organization offers wound care, pain management, and pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation services. It provides physical, occupational and speech therapies. The organization offers treatment options to patients who suffer from articulation problems and cognitive communication disorders. It organizes flexibility, dexterity and strength exercise sessions. The organization accepts Medicare and Medicaid insurance plans. Maine Veterans' Homes receives grants from the federal and state agencies.

The Micmac Health Department is home to our Clinic; Contract Health; Community Health; Environmental Department; Behavioral Health and our Fitness Center. Also included in this building is the Administrative Staff; Health Director, Administrative Assistant and Tribal Planner.
