Camp Chewonki
Camp Chewonki for Girls is a wilderness-based summer camp surrounded by more than 90,000 acres of conservation lands owned by the Department of Conservation, Maine, and The Nature Conservancy. The camp offers a selection of wilderness programs for girls between the ages of 9 and 16. It also provides an introductory program for girls aged between 8 and 11. Camp Chewonki for Girls offers various activities, such as canoeing, sea kayaking, campcraft, map and compass, team challenges, as well as games, swimming and relaxing. It provides financial aid and scholarships. The camp is owned and operated by The Chewonki Foundation, which is an educational institution.
