History

After running the yacht sales operation at Handy Boat for eight years Jon Knowles developed a 48,000 sq. ft. marine, restaurant and office complex with two partners along with starting East Coast Yacht Sales with it's 5,000 sq. ft.heated showroom in Yarmouth, Maine in 1986 to offer a high quality yacht sales and service organization for the purchase and sale of new and used power and sailboats operated by an experienced sales team and service department that has a passion for people, boats and the water. Since 1986 we have opened five more offices over the past 25 years in Belfast, Camden, Maine, Salem, Massachusetts, Newport, Rhode Island and Stonington, Connecticut attracting twelve of the best brokers on the east coast.

We are not just another boat brokerage hanging out a shingle, we invest in what we believe in, the product. We inventory MJMs, J/boats, Vanquish, and American Tug boats. We service our boats and customers unlike many brokers in the business. We take trades and we are fair to our customers. We understand the value of our customers over the long run.
