Founded in 1936, Pine Tree Society is a social welfare organization that works for the development of children and adults with disabilities. Based in Bath, Maine, the society provides services to children and adults with various disabilities, such as autism spectrum disorders, hard-of-hearing/deaf, developmental/cognitive disabilities and physical ailments. Pine Tree Society provides assistive technology to disabled people to accomplish their daily living tasks, for communication purposes, community support and recreation. It is a member of the Community Health Charities and Charity Navigator.

The Cromwell Center for Disabilities Awareness is dedicated to fostering safe, respectful, and inclusive environments in schools and communities throughout Maine.
