Central Maine Medical Center

Established in 1963, Central Maine Community College is a higher learning institution that provides a range of associate s degree and certificate programs for students. It administers courses in the areas of accounting, automotive technology, business administration and management, criminal justice, culinary arts, early childhood education, medical transcription, nursing, and occupational health and safety. Central Maine Community College offers a variety of building construction, computer, electromechanical, machine tool, telecommunication, and architectural and civil engineering technology programs. It provides companionship and respite care services that include reading, writing letters and playing games. In addition, the center provides transportation to medical appointments, beauty shops, as well as shopping, groceries and banking. It has personal support specialist that helps residents with meal preparation and feeding, assistance with various household tasks and getting in and out of bed. Helping Hands provides personal assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, skin care and personal hygiene.
