The containers vary from soda-pop cans to beer bottles and other glass and plastic items. Customers are paid Maine s going rate for the deposit fee. Roopers either sterilizes glass bottles that are still intact or processes broken glass. Roopers has two locations in Lewiston, Maine: Roopers Main Street and the location on Sabattus Street. There are additional locations in Lisbon and Auburn, Maine. The company is a member of Recyclers World, an Internet community for the recyclers industry.
