Black Friar Inn And Pub

The Black Friar Inn and Pub is a hidden gem; once you find it we guarantee you will be back! Our three story building is mostly constructed from materials salvaged from the mansions that burned in the great fire of 1947. In season, our highly rated restaurant serves breakfast and dinner daily. Breakfasts at the Friar are hearty and healthy. Portions are generous and everything is made from scratch right here at the Black Friar Inn. Open to the public, breakfast is served from 7:30am to 10:00am. Each afternoon the Friar’s Pub opens at 4pm for happy hour, offering $5 house wine and drafts (Maine selections always on tap) and the company is fine. Settle in after a day in the park in an old-fashioned British pub atmosphere. A full line of spirits, cocktails, wines and craft brews are served. Shareable plates and pub fare, dinner offerings include scotch eggs, crab cakes, Charcuterie board and much more. Dinner service begins at 5pm and blackboard specials change weekly.
