Abortion Care-Institute For Reproductive Care

Established in 1971, Family Planning Association of Maine serves the family planning needs of approximately 29,000 low-income Maine women and teens annually. It provides funding, technical support and quality assurance to numerous clinics statewide and operating clinics in Augusta, Belfast, Damariscotta and Rockland. The association also conducts research on issues relevant to reproductive health, offers training on the provision of abortion services to physicians, provides first trimester abortion services in Augusta and South Portland and maintains a full-time statewide public affairs program in Augusta. It offers health care services, such as oral and injectable contraceptives, emergency contraceptives, screening, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections and breast/cervical cancer screening.

At First Choice Pregnancy Resource Center, we are committed to providing women and men with accurate information to make informed choices about pregnancy, sexual health and relationships. We are staffed by compassionate volunteers who have received training in peer counseling. All of our services are free, confidential and are available regardless of income, race or religion. We operate on financial donations by individuals and private organizations. Because we do not perform abortions, we have no financial interest in your decision.
