Jefferson Parish Louisiana was established in 1825 and was named in honor of Thomas Jefferson. The Office of Alcohol Beverage Control is part of the Attorney s Office. It regulates all businesses and individuals in East Baton Rouge Parish that sell, serve or dispense alcoholic beverages. The Baton Rouge Parish Attorney s Office is part of the city government and is directed by the Parish Attorney, which is appointed by the metropolitan council.
