Dr. Treadwell is a graduate of Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine (1993). She worked in general practice for 2 years before entering an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The University of Illinois. She completed her residency training in small animal internal medicine at Purdue University in 1999. Dr. Treadwell moved to Shreveport and opened Shreveport Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2002 - the first Veterinary referral hospital in the Ark-La-Tex.

SVIM treats complicated medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney failure, seizures, cancer and intestinal disorders. We create individualized diagnostic and treatment plans using ultrasound, endoscopy, biopsies, fluid analysis, x-ray and more. Our supportive supportive and critical care facility meets all of the needs of seriously ill pets. Blood, plasma and IVIG transfusions, oxygen therapy with temperature, humidity and CO2 control, IV and feeding tube nutritional support, blood pressure monitoring and support, urine output monitoring, blood gas analysis & more with 24 hour care
