Matters of the Arts is a non-profit organization supporting individuals and the local art community. We are an art program in Haughton, LA, where adults with disabilities can come and create their own unique pieces of art. The sessions provided have become a beneficial way for those with cognitive and physical limitations to find a way to fully express themselves.

Pamoja Art Society, located in Shreveport, LA, is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to celebrating Black American culture and building a stronger community for over fifty years. Founded by a talented group of artists from Louisiana in the 1960s, Pamoja Art Society serves as an artist clearinghouse, providing a platform for local artists to display their works and promote their progress. With a focus on arts, culture, children and youth education, literacy, board development, computers, design, and community development, Pamoja Art Society strives to inspire personal growth and foster creativity within the Shreveport Arts Community. Rooted in the vision of renowned Southern University arts professor Roosevelt Daniel, Pamoja Art Society encourages artists to create and critique each other's work, promoting continuous improvement and artistic development. As a 501(c)(3) organization, Pamoja Art Society is committed to its mission of celebrating Black American culture, serving as a hub for artists, and contributing to the enrichment of the community.
