Dr. Basra is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology through the American Board ofInternal Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. Much of her research has been published in medical journals such as The Rheumatologist and Arthritis and Rheumatism. She treats patients for a variety of rheumatic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lupus, Sjogrens Syndrome and osteoporosis.

The Children's Clinic of SWLA, founded in 1962, is a pediatric clinic that serves children and parents in Louisiana. The clinic provides individual, marital and family counseling services. It offers parent education related to allergies, diarrhea, constipation and fever. The clinic provides pharmacy and neonatal and critical care services. The Children's Clinic of SWLA also offers laboratory and X-ray services. The clinic accepts insurance plans from several organizations, such as UnitedHealthcare and Coventry Health Care. In addition, it provides emergency services for illness and injuries. The clinic offers asthma management, as well as advice on aches and pains.
