Great place for a family hike near the Red River. Varying length trails to choose from. A story time trails for the very littles. Lake open to non-motorized traffic. Major bird migratory highway....

You'll walk a long way for any view of the titular Red River, which in case you're not familiar, is pretty much brown. That isn't really the attraction. A lake is circled by a hiking trail, which...

A very beautiful place to enjoy nature, with several trails that carry you around the lake area. Quality benches to sit on for a sunset picnic!

Full of comfortable walking trails it would be easy to spend all day here. The visitors center (now closed for Covid) looks like it's full of fun useful information. But so are the walking trails....
