Prestige Fitness

History

Prestige Fitness was the first fitness center in St. Bernard Parish to open up after Hurricane Katrina. The owners were looking to do their part to help in the recovery of St. Bernard Parish and came up with the idea to open a fitness facility to help people alleviate some stress. After some planning and a lot of hard work, Prestige Fitness opened up in November of 2006. Not completely done and working off of picnic tables for a front desk, the front doors were open. As people started to become part of the family, the owners quickly realized that the gym wasn't just a place to relieve tension and become healthier, but became a social event where people would come to meet other people and escape the stress of everything going on around them. While the goal is to help everyone become healthier, we still strive to maintain that comfortable social aspect.

Specialties

We are the largerst 24 hour full service fitness center in St. Bernard Parish (Staff Hours: Monday- Friday 9 am to 9 pm Saturday- 10am to 4pm.) with over 15,000 square feet of free weights, selectorized equipment, cardio equipment, and high intensity tanning beds. In addition to the traditional fitness equipment, we are the only fitness center in St. Bernard that has an entire portion of the gym dedicated to functional training. We also have a variety of classes such as Functional Training, Cardio Circuit, Zumba, Spin, Balls and Bells, Pound, and Small Group Training. We do also offer one on one personal training.
