Norwela Council
The Norwela Council of the Boy Scouts of America has been dedicated to preparing young people in Northwest Louisiana to become ethical and moral leaders since its establishment in 1923. Serving a nine-parish region, the council offers comprehensive Scouting programs for boys and girls, providing opportunities through Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, Venture Crews, and Exploring Posts.
With over 800 adult volunteers, the council actively engages with the community to instill core values and deliver hands-on learning experiences through various programs, including summer camps and family weekend events. The organization remains committed to enhancing the lives of youth by providing support for underprivileged members and fostering a strong sense of community through Scouting activities.
