Athletes in Motion, founded in 1972, is a locally owned and operated multipurpose facility offering a wide range of activities for children of all ages. It offers motor skills development programs for children between 2- and 4-years and a basic gymnastic program that is a one-hour class focusing on the fundamentals of various Olympic disciplines. It also provides developmental gymnastics that is an advanced level, tumbling and cheerleading program. Its preschool learning center provides education in science, arts and crafts, music and games. Athletes in Motion s additional programs include kids night out, karate for kids, summer camps, swimming lessons, and also organizes birthday parties. It has a pro shop providing cheerleading and gymnastic costumes and accessories, and also provides transportation services to various schools, such as Duplessis Elementary and Oak Grove Elementary schools in Louisiana.
