HistoryMichael Curry Counseling opened in January 2022, but I have been providing behavioral Health since June 2013. I've worked in three Mental Health Rehabilitation (MHR) centers within the Bossier City and Shreveport area. I also worked as an intake counselor for Brentwood Mental Hospital providing initial assessments for all incoming patients. In addition, I've spent the last ten years providing marriage counseling as a minister at the church I attend. Before getting into Mental Health, I spent 26 years in the United States Air Force, I received my Master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2017 and am a National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors.SpecialtiesMichael Curry Counseling specializes in helping those dealing with grief, anger, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, relationship/marital issues, and any other behavioral health issues that would hinder one from being a positive and productive member of our community.
