Nancy's Private Home Health Care

History

In our fifteen years of operation Nancy's Private Care survived the destruction of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita to be among the first businesses to reenter the devastated area and, the 'first' healthcare agency to return to Nouveau Marc. During the chaotic days, weeks, and months that followed we joined with the management to clean the inside of the building and assisted with removing downed tree limbs, torn roof shingles, broken glass and debris from around the facility. Nancy's Private Care was instrumental in restoring day-to-day operations serving as the frontline care provider to returning residents. Utilizing our network of medical professionals we coordinated social services, engaged doctors and nurses, and reached out to families. Through these efforts we were successful in attracting interest, and visitors to Nouveau Marc creating conditions that increased the rate of move-ins. Founded in 2001 with five employees, we now have a staff of ten employees and a licensed nurse.
