Mudbug Madness Festival is a private, non-profit organization established in 1959, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Downtown Shreveport through the production and promotion of downtown festivals, projects, and events. With a focus on community improvement, the festival supports initiatives such as historic preservation, tourism development, beautification projects, and event marketing.
What began as a two-day street festival in 1984 has evolved into one of Louisiana's largest Cajun festivals, attracting visitors with renowned Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, and Jazz performances, delectable Cajun cuisine, lively contests, and family-friendly activities. Dont get me wrong. I had a good time. If you are a native of Shreveport, then by all means go to this. But this place is definitely a weak three. But in hindsight, this festival was forgetable....

Great family fun! The focus is on crawfish and music, but there's plenty of other great food to enjoy like shrimp, alligator, red beans, jambalaya, meat pies, fried cheesecake, and so many others....
