Metropolitan Community Church

Metropolitan Community Church of Baton Rouge is a welcoming and inclusive Christian community that has been serving the Baton Rouge and South Louisiana communities for over 40 years. They offer worship services every Sunday morning, providing a safe space for all to gather and participate in an open communion. The church is committed to outreach ministries, including Makin Groceries, a food collection ministry, and an annual Christmas gift collection for residents of Baton Rouge Heritage House skilled nursing home.

With a focus on being more Christ-like in everyday life, Metropolitan Community Church of Baton Rouge strives to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed and supported. They encourage vaccinations for Covid-19, influenza, RSV, and MonkeyPox, and have implemented safety measures such as social distancing, hand sanitizer availability, and the option to use pre-packaged individual communion wafers and grape juice.
