Friendly staff, fast service, pleasant atmosphere. Vegetarian menu items, I had the Vegetarian taco salad was very filling, did not miss the meat.

Lago Mexican Restaurant is located in Mandeville, LA just a few blocks from shores of Lake Pontchartrain. Our name "Lago" means "Lake" in Spanish, and we don't just borrow from out surroundings to create our name. Our cuisine is a blend of the sights, smells and tastes of our home in Mexico, and is heavily influenced by the many cultures that have come to call South Louisiana home. We welcome all our amigos to join us for lunch, dinner or a cool drink after work. Come. Rest. Eat. Drink. And enjoy yourself at Lago!

Decided to try Lago on a Tuesday night. We were seated right away. My waiter didn't understand enough English to answer all my questions, but he was able to take our order. I got the street tacos...

Well, we just wasted money again.... shrimp tacos...just terrible burnt on one side and not fully cooked on the other side. Pork tacos....no seasoning plus the tortillas tasted terrible....

We tried something new! The Chicken and Steak Street Fajitas with Chorizo sausage, Pineapple, Cilantro, Onions, and melted Queso was packed full of flavor! Muy Delicioso!
