Founded in 1971, the Louisiana Association for the Deaf (LAAD) was established by 28 charter members to serve and promote the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. With a membership of over 600 individuals, LAAD fosters a safe space for socialization, learning, and community engagement through a variety of events and activities.
