Kenner Public Works Department

Kenner Public Works Department is a public service agency, serving the residents of Kenner, La. An interim director heads the department, and it provides various maintenance services for the city s infrastructure, including thoroughfares, medians, right-of-ways, parks, playgrounds, office buildings and recreational facilities. It also maintains road surfaces, medians, curbs, shrubs, drainage facilities and traffic control signals. Its public works administrative section is responsible for inspection of all street and roadway construction other than state property, as it relates to the city code of ordinance specifications, from the planning stage to final completion. The administrative section, assisted by a consulting engineering firm, also provides traffic engineering and related services. The public works department has various divisions, including building and central vehicle maintenance, drainage, parkways, roads and bridges, streetlights and traffic.
