Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court

Jefferson Parish Louisiana was established in 1825 and was named in honor of Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson Parish covers the cities of Grand Isle, Gretna, Kenner, Harahan, Lafitte and Westwego, La.

The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement services, promotes public safety and protects the rights and property of the nearly 70,000 residents in St. Bernard Parish, La. The sheriff s office has numerous substations strategically located on major thoroughfares linking St. Bernard to New Orleans. The sheriff s offices operates a neighborhood watch program, provides intensive and on-going training for every deputy. In addition, it works closely with the school board, district attorney and judges to provide an in-school and suspension-on-site program, an alternative school for at-risk students, a monthly local-access cable television crime prevention and training show that reaches nearly 17,000 homes, and oversees a state-of-the-art prison and juvenile detention facility.
