The Jean Baptiste Lang House, located at 605 Carroll Street in Mandeville, LA, is a historic Creole cottage that serves as a museum and community space. Built between 1850-1852 by Belgian tobacco merchant Jean Baptiste Lang, this charming structure showcases original architectural features and reflects the antebellum wealth of New Orleans.

After surviving significant challenges, including Hurricane Katrina, the Lang House was restored and opened to the public in December 2014. It now hosts educational tours and events, offering insights into Mandeville's unique history and architectural heritage, while also featuring a gift shop that promotes local crafts and publications.

Amazing museum. Fully restored house over 100 years old. Moved from the lake a few blocks back, one of the original homes of the area. The lady working was a wealth of knowledge and loves her job....
