Charbonnet Labat Funeral Home, located in the historic Treme neighborhood of New Orleans, has been a vital part of the community since the 19th century, founded by pioneering undertakers Alcide Labat and Joseph Ray. The family-run establishment is dedicated to providing exceptional services, including specialty jazz funerals, cultural event planning, and pre-planning options, blending tradition and modern practices for a meaningful farewell.
Originally established as Labat Ray Funeral Home, the business has evolved through generations of the Labat and Charbonnet families, adapting to the needs of its community while preserving rich cultural heritage. Following a near-total loss in the 1958 fire and between recovery from Hurricane Katrina, Charbonnet Labat Funeral Home remains a cornerstone of compassion and service, continuing its legacy of excellence in funeral care.

Stopped by during a weekday morning and they had a great selection of items! The store is very organized with tshirts, dishware, magnets, candy/snacks, socks, etc. they even have refrigerated...
Cool shop with all kinds souvenir gifts, but what really stood out was their large selection of Mardi Gras masks. We tried on a few for fun!
The Jazz Funeral is souvenir shop with a voodoo theme to it. They sell t shirts, mugs, shot glasses, magnets and other items. The voodoo theme is very popular with anyone.
The staff/owner/manager.. not sure who is who... are all terrible here. Do NOT start a conversation for any reason! But I always come back here when I need the same ridiculous tourist souvenir:...
