Promise Hospital of Louisiana, formerly known as Promise Specialty Hospital, is one of the largest long-term acute care facilities in northwest Louisiana. Established in 1992, it features more than 95 beds and over 60 private rooms. The hospital specializes in the medical management of patients with complex, unresolved, chronic and catastrophic illnesses, as well as multisystem disease processes. Promise Hospital of Louisiana s professional staff is comprised of nurses, therapists, nutritionists, pharmacists and case managers. Its clinical services include dialysis, ventilator and wound management, daily physician visits, outpatient counseling, and respiratory, occupational, physical and speech therapies. The hospital provides treatments related to respiratory failure, diabetic ulcers, myocardial infarction, neurovascular disorders and fractures. Additionally, Promise Hospital of Louisiana maintains intensive care and behavioral health units. It is a part of Promise Healthcare, which is a Boca Raton-based corporation that owns and manages hospitals throughout the United States.
