Golden Meadow Town Hall Office
The Town of Golden Meadow, incorporated on July 17, 1950, was established after multiple efforts by the Golden Meadow Women's Club, culminating in the signing of the act of incorporation by Governor Earl Long. Alexie Plaisance, a banker and businessman, became the first mayor, leading the town until elections could be held two years later.
The original town hall was built on LA 1 for $30,000, but in 2010, all operations were relocated to the New Town of Golden Meadow Multi-Purpose Building and Emergency Center, situated off Alex Plaisance Boulevard. The town continues to serve its residents through various administrative functions and community services.
