At Lafayette ENT Specialists, we believe that doctors and patients become a team when treating ear, nose and throat problems. Our otolaryngologists, doctors who specialize in ear, nose and throat care, spend most of their time listening to you to understand your concerns and respond with the best treatment options possible. With the help of our professional staff, our doctors will then follow up with you to make sure your health improves.

Dr. Durel is an Otolaryngologist specializing in treating head and neck conditions, with a focus on allergic diseases and sinonasal disorders. He became a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy after additional training. A Lafayette native, he began his private practice there in 2012. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Millsaps College and completed his medical education and residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Durel also serves as Chief of Surgery at Oil Center Surgical Plaza and is a clinical instructor at LSUHSC-New Orleans.

Dr. Montgomery, a native of Lafayette, graduated from Lafayette High School and earned a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He received his MD from Tulane University School of Medicine, where he completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Montgomery has served as a clinical instructor at LSU and adjunct faculty at the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America, Dr. Montgomery has held leadership roles, including Chief of Medical Staff at Lafayette General Medical Center.
